Tropicana

The veteran Tropicana hotel, inaugurated on April 4, 1957, shows how it has passed through so many decades without ceasing to be one of the public’s favorites. Nowadays, the aim of the place is to bring the services of yesteryear in a modern, up-to-date guise to customers all over the world.

Proof of this commitment can be seen in the last renovation carried out at the complex in 2011. The décor, themed on Miami’s popular South Beach, has been upgraded, with old spaces undergoing renovations to the finishes.

The 4,600 m² casino offers more than 800 slots, video poker, card games, a High Limit area and betting space for racing and other sports.

Curiosity

– The hotel has already been a hit on the big screen, can you believe it? In the classic movie The Godfather II, some scenes take place inside the Tropicana. However, to avoid copyright problems, the name of the hotel was changed to “Tropigala” during filming, although the original name remained in the final version of the script.

– The place has been certified by TripAdvisor’s as one of the most popular destinations and also by the Travelocity Excellence Award, each for two consecutive years. Plus, the Platinum Choice Award for three years in a row. It was named one of the 10 best casinos on the Strip.

– All the comfort items are available in the four-star hotel’s 1,658 rooms. From 300-thread-count sheets and soft pillow-top mattresses to 42-inch LCD TVs.

Leisure and beauty

-The water park is a true tropical oasis. With two hydromassage pools, large heated jacuzzis, waterfalls surrounded by exotic plants and flowers, cooling off in this setting is undoubtedly an added pleasure.

For those who don’t mind playing regardless of the space, world-famous blackjack tables are available on the poolside.

-The Mandara Spa, offering more than 50 skin, hair and nail treatments for men and women, located in the conference center, with a full-service salon and nine energizing treatment rooms.

The New Illusions – Jan Rouven

Illusionist Jan Rouven, named “Best Magic Show” by the Las Vegas Review-Journal in 2013, promises to wow you in his newest show entitled “The New Illusions”. Magic, mystery and imagination mingle amidst illusions that will stir your senses. Jan Rouven has also been honored with some of the industry’s top international awards, including the Merlin Award for Magician of the Year. The Audience Award at the Monte-Carlo Festival, magician to the stars, presented by Princess Stephanie of Monaco, as well as winning the Illusionist of the Year award in 2014, an event held and voted for by the largest magic society in the world, the International Magicians Society, with over 37,000 members.

Raiding the Rock Vault

It’s the return of the classic rock ‘n’ roll show performed by top musicians from some of the biggest rock bands in history. The show won the title of ‘Choice of Best Musical’ at the Best of Las Vegas 2014.
This concert features famous musical geniuses such as, Howard Leese (Heart) e Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake) nas guitarras, Hugh McDonald (Bon Jovi) no baixo, bateria de Jay Schellen (Badfinger, Asia), teclado de Michael T. Tropicana Nights

These are the hotel’s famous shows, held from Thursday to Saturday in the Tropicana Lounge. With a variety of talented celebrities who are invited to the salon stage. The performances include songs from the 60s to current hits. Be prepared not to stop for a single minute.

Bacio Italian Cuisine
Here Italian food is served in a romantic setting. With candle-lit tables, as you enter you’ll appreciate the intimate décor with Italian-style tiles, white brick walls, white tablecloths, red and black details and a softly lit canopy that makes it the perfect place for an evening for two.
Recommended: Beef rigatoni.

Biscayne Steak – Sea – Wine
Mixing all preferences in one place, the aim was to reinterpret a classic steakhouse and create an atmosphere of casual elegance. Elegantly decorated, the restaurant offers a variety of cuts of meat and fresh seafood.
Recommended: Seafood Pasta with lobster, prawns, scallops and sole.
Awards: Winner of the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence in 2013 and 2014 and the Wine Spectator magazine Award of Excellence in 2011, 2013 and 2014.

Beach Café
For those who prefer to get away from the hustle and bustle of the Strip, this setting will provide you with some quiet moments just a few steps away from the hotel pool. The clean look comes with white wooden floors, marble finishes and soft lighting, accentuated by elegant wooden tables with white lacquer chairs and modern lighting.
Recommended: Cuban Breakfast Sandwich, with fried eggs, ham, roast pork loin, caramelized onions, Swiss cheese and natural yeast.

Located next to the running and sports center, it offers televisions so you don’t miss any sporting events. Enjoy a refreshing beer or a glass of red or white wine selected by the house.

Coconut Grove Bar
Next to the pool, surrounded by palm trees, flowing waterfalls and beautiful gardens, this is the ideal space to relax. Among the house’s main drinks are Piña Colada, Strawberry Daiquiri and handcrafted cocktails, which guarantee a lively evening from start to finish.
