Bellagio Las Vegas

The Bellagio is one of the most traditional and luxurious casino hotels in Las Vegas. It is located in the heart of the famous Las Vegas Boulevard, better known as the Strip, and was inspired by the resorts of Lake Como in Italy. Almost 2 billion dollars were spent on the construction of this hotel, which certainly meets every need for luxury and opulence.

The Bellagio is currently part of the conglomerate of hotels controlled by MGM Resorts InternationalTM. One of the resort’s many attractions is the show Dance of the Waters, set against the backdrop of the artificial lake and the hotel façade; the 2.000 molded glass flowers at the entrance; the Conservatory and Botanical Garden, just to name a few examples. The Bellagio also has the“O” by Cirque du Soleil.

The Bellagio’s luxurious rooms (3421 rooms and 512 suites) are above average for Las Vegas. They have been recently renovated, have a minibar, electric curtains, bathrooms with huge bathtubs and marble floors.

History

Long awaited for its modernity, the Bellagio was inaugurated on October 15, 1998 and cost around $1.6 billion. Its inauguration ceremony began at around 11 a.m. and cost $88 million.

Attractions

Bellagio Fountains

It’s the biggest attraction on the Las Vegas Strip. A light show with around 4,500 lamps, 1,200 fountains, a 36,000 m² artificial lake and performances with audiovisual effects.

The show can be seen from various locations on the Strip and has a set time: every 30 minutes from 15:00 to 19:00 from Monday to Friday and from 12:00 on weekends/holidays. The performance takes place every 15 minutes between 19:00 and 00:00.

In addition to the visual spectacle, the Bellagio’s fountains also play well-known songs:

• My Heart Will Go On – Celine Dion
• Fly Me to the Moon – Frank Sinatra
• Viva Las Vegas – Elvis Presley
• Your Song – Elton John
• Time to Say Goodbye – Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman
• Holiday – Madonna

and many others, totaling 40 different songs.

Conservatory and botanical garden

The Bellagio also has a greenhouse made up of natural flowers. The garden is remodeled five times a year, using Chinese New Year (in January), Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter as its theme. Each scene is a show of beauty and creativity.

The combination of colors is magnificent and the environment is conducive to taking lots of photos. It’s no wonder that the Bellagio Garden receives more than 5 million visitors a year, ranging from 15,000 to 18,000 tourists a day. (Data: Vegas.com)
